Compost worm population in substrate

Description

Healthy and vital earthworms of mainly eisenia foetida, 500 individuals in different life stages (cocoon, young, adult). Perfect to start a worm bin like the WormBag.

The worms are delivered in a breathable bucket with around 5 liters of substrate in which they are can survive well for up to 3 weeks at a temperature of 5-20 °C.

Depending on the number of people in your household, we recommend starting with one or two start populations:

• 1-4 people: 1 start population and 3 coconut bricks
• 5-6 people: 2 start populations and 3 coconut bricks

The worms come with a set of other important compost organisms such as enchytrae, collembola, bacteria and microfungi in the soil, which support and accelerate the composting process.
